Create communities of learners where diversity is valued, questions are
encouraged, and investigations and explorations are utilized.
These communities of learners, which vary in representation from all
adults, to all children, to a combination of adults and children, will
pose questions about the world around them. Through investigation
and exploration of those questions, the community of learners will
build resources and create an educational environment that assists its
members in becoming informed citizens who are creative and thoughtful
lifelong learners.
Leadership, Trust, Cooperation, Creativity, and Teamwork are essential
components in building any community. Michelle Cline and FAITH²
are committed to working with people to build communities to support
our youth.
We believe in the youth of today!
I am a fragment of a mirror whose whole design and shape I do not
know. Nevertheless, with what I have I can reflect light into the
dark places of this world- in to the black places in the hearts of men-
and change some things in some people. Perhaps others may see and
do likewise. This is what I am about . This is the meaning
of my life.
This quote and the story that accompanied it greatly impacted my
life. I do not claim to have all the answers, but I do have a few
great questions. Those questions have allowed me to assist
educational leaders to refocus on children, our most precious natural
resource. When all the light is reflected in the same direction,
positive change happens.
-A quote by Alexander Papaderos retold by Robert Fulghum
